G2K™ Hybrid Propulsion System

The secret behind our long flight times is our proprietary fuel-injected G2K hybrid-electric power source. We convert gasoline into electricity in flight, giving you extreme endurance and redundant power.

Hybrid by Design

The fuel tanks, engine and exhaust are seamlessly integrated onto the vehicle to accommodate a sensitive payload and to streamline the vehicle. No clunky bolt on power source.

The Perimeter is designed around its hybrid-electric power source, from the ground control station to the fuselage. Operation is nearly identical to operating a traditional multirotor.

Smallest weight (15 kg) and form factor of any same class vehicle.

Key Features

Our fuel injected engines provide unprecedented reliability. No wasting time on engine tuning.

The Perimeter drone during takeoff

The Perimeter's engine automatically starts up when the vehicle is started. No fussing around with cumbersome drill starter motors or pull starts. The engine always starts when commanded.

Perimeter performing long range agricultural mapping mission

The Perimeter can operate in temperatures as low as 15°F (-10°C). Other hybrid-electric drones cannot operate safely in low temperature conditions.

The Perimeter flying over a farm in California

From unboxing to flight, the total deployment time is only 5 minutes.

“As a service provider for large farms, Aker Technologies depends on drones with long flight times for crop monitoring at scale. We are impressed with Skyfront’s Tailwind drone, as it now makes many agricultural applications cost-effective.”

Aker CEO Orlando Saez

PureTech Systems Works With Skyfront To Provide Automated Drone Deployment

PureTech Systems announces its latest capability, which provides for automated dispatch of a security drone to an alarm location. The alarm can originate from sensor sources capable of providing a location including PureActiv geospatial video analytics, radar, acoustic buried/fence sensor, UGS, access control, contact alarm, and user input… READ MORE.

Why Hybrid Electric is the Future of Aviation

Electric propulsion has changed aircraft manufacturing. The reason is simple: wires bend. Shafts and gears do not. To build a helicopter engineers no longer have to design around a long mechanical shaft and heavy, failure-prone gearbox and clutch that spin to transmit power from the engine to the rotors… READ MORE
